i screamed my voice hoarse yesterday when i played hangman with the kids. now that i finally get to stand in front of the class, i realised how much it takes to command respect and address the students. the boys were yakking away when i told them we could play a game while their form teacher accompanied one of the students to the general office.
the kids started to get rowdy even before i could finish telling them about the game rules. oh boy!
then there's a girl who put up her hand and said,
"Teacher you need to speak louder cos the boys at the back can't hear you!"how do i speak louder when the whole class (read: 43 students!) was talking at the same time?!
so i replied,
"Teacher is already speaking at the top of her voice!!"then after some futile attempts to get the class to quieten down, i managed to play 2 rounds of hangman with them. *sweats*
can u imagine me giving them spelling this friday?
i am just gonna do that,
man.
