i've got good news to share!
but let me keep you in suspense until i meet you the next time to tell each of you personally :)

been pretty loaded the past few weeks sigh. am glad that there was the batam getaway over the wkend! the shopping, the beach and simply, the sleep which i much needed...all to the full! =P

first day was citytour around this small island. visited the temple (hailed as the largest in SEA) and took some scenic pictures on a bridge linking batam to another island (i think its name is dan dan island or some sort like it)...seafood lunch that consist of (mini) chilli crabs, (thin and puny) cereal prawns, (meatless) fried fish in tomato sauce, fried sotong, (plain) beancurd-salted veg soup, sambal kangkong and lastly, steamed snails! haha. the snails were pretty good yea!

after lunch we went to the polo shop, where we grabbed some cheap CK polos. there were ralph lauren ones too~ there was one which i liked very much; light blue wif a nice logo of the brand. but.....ahh it cost SGD50+ after discount la!!! oh well~

more shopping after that. went to a huge shopping mall and shopped and shopped =P we had A&W's rootbeer float, curly fries and cheesy dog! how we missed those!

checked into resort by late evening, only to realise that we were cheated of our seaview which was promised to us when we booked. our resort room faced some carpark lah! darn angry wif that. cos we paid SGD30 extra for that "wonderful view" and this was what they gave us. :(

second day we went kayaking for an hour. had 2 rounds of pool at the resort lobby before we went to their kelong restaurant for lunch. ordered honey chicken wif cashew nuts, fried cuttlefish wif salted egg, kailan in garlic and oyster sauce and pineapple fried rice! the food was deliciously goooood! =P

went back to our room after lunch and before long, both of us fell asleep all the way till 10+pm in the night. oops! haha like pigs ah. =P managed to eat supper at the 24-hr coffeehouse in the resort otherwise i guess we'll be starved for the night. :o)

third day we checked out by 12pm and the bus took us to the ferry terminal where there's this mega mall - shopped for a while before we finally boarded the ferry home. and then, it's back to reality! :(

oh well!

tat's about all for the short getaway! :)

i gotto catch some sleep now. =P
