i know i might have said it a thousand times that life is unfair, the world is unfair. and lately i've been finding so much truth in the saying that i want to say it one more time......
LIFE IS REALLY UNFAIR!!!
all it takes is for you to be in your boss's books, and no matter how incompetent you are you will still win his favour and trust in you. how can a boss show prejudice towards his staff? you help out wif other teams, you handle issues, you teach your juniors well, you manage your own team's work when at the end of the day, you don't even get a smile from your boss much less the recognition for your efforts.
each time there are matters to discuss, he looks for his favourite and casts you a few glances only now and then while talking to your colleague. what is this?!
you want to rise, you want to shine. you tell yourself you must do it better than anybody else, even if your boss doesn't give you the deserved attention. so that when you leave, they'll then realise they've missed out someone who's capable and efficient, who's the reason why the team stays strong together.
of course you know no one's irreplaceable in the workplace. that soon after you leave, they'll find another one to replace your position. but even if it's only a short while for regrets, you're consoled that you're finally given the due recognition and that ppl will be sad by your leaving. and most importantly, the boss will have to spend a long time to find another person who's as committed and dedicated to your job as you.
and that's when you finally smile and say goodbye. Walk tall wif pride, out of your office door and to another place where you will be much treasured and respected.
