spent last last sat celebrating dad's birthday at this amk kopitiam famous for its crabs. the creamy buttery gravy is fantastic...... and heavenly when you dip the small pieces of mantou wif it.

along wif the crabs, we also ordered their deep-fried beancurd, bamboo clams, asparagus (i hope i spelled it correctly!), pork ribs in lotus leaf and sambal kang kong. the asparagus was quite ......*ahem al-right. cos i didn't really like the pungent smell of onions which they spiced it extravagantly wif and hmm, it's a cold dish. not that appetising for me to start my meal with though.
anyway the ribs, clams and beancurd were good. only the kang kong was too spicy to be up to standard. haha you could even see the chilli oil at the side of the plate. whoops. as for the crabs, do we have to go on saying how nice it was?! hee. do go there and try! :)

last last sun was spent celebrating yilin's bday at vivo. cos the global sound cafe was under renovation, very unfortunate that it was the first day of renovation somemore! so we adjourned to vivocity for coffee and cakes at gloria jeans before we went marks and spencer for chewy to get her mom the lavender hand cream. the choc mud pie was good. thick chocolate-ty taste. so was the cheese cake. hee. it didn't break into many smaller pieces when i sliced a part of it wif a fork. supposed that meant a wonderfully-done cheesecake haha.
