so sat i went for the captain's ball training. and my muscles are aching terribly today. :( which brings me to the point - i need to exercise more!!! anyway my boss dropped by wif his 2 sweet and pretty girls to support us, nah he isn't playing but he was there to cheer us on and bought drinks for us to quench our thirst under the hot scorching sun!
my team consists of members from my own deposits team while the rest are from another dept. everyone was sporty and initially we were losing quite badly. however after the drink break, we came together and started to strategise on how we could play it better and hey! we made it!! we scored
madly right after that wif the right person on the chair (meaning "catcher") and the person defending (proud of tally - mr tham, haha he saved uncountable goals for us!). the girls were moving around the mid-field to attacking (since girls score 2 points for a goal and guys 1 point). good one!
the rest of the afternoon was spent at mr tham's place, watching "Gong" dvds and we went to the hawker centre opposite TJ for dinner. how i miss my jc. a mix of unhappy and pleasant memories as i recall, still that's the place where i spent my 2 yrs in. could vividly rem the first two lines of my sch song "it matters not where we are from, to temasek we now belong...sharing experiences..." gave me the sense of belonging when i first stepped into tj.
we went to IKEA after that. the annual clearance sale advert was rather tempting haha. was thinking of buying gifts for christmas. yea i know christmas is still a loooong way lah, but since there's a sale and if there're nice stuff i mean, can buy and keep first hor? i'm kinda an auntie i know whoops. :) in the end i didn't buy anything for myself from there. but one round of walk at IKEA's furnishing gave me some ideas on how i can make my room a better place to snuggle in for a dvd/girls night out. heee. anyone interested in investing in a sofa bed? :)
before heading back to my house, we sent the car for a wash at Shell petrol station. mr tham was soo fascinated wif the whole process that he kept going "cooool" all the way. haha. so mountain-turtle. it's a handwash, meaning it's manual - first they sprayed the car wif strong jets of water then using another hose wif the soap, they applied the soap all over the car after which they cleaned and scrubbed wif a towel. following that, they splashed wif pails of water and another round of water direct from the hose. and finally we reached the point for the drying part. this guy wiped the entire car dry wif his professional towel skill, and he even wiped the inside of the car yea!! i was rather impressed by this too. all the good and excellent service for $6!!! only!!! and u get a spanking clean car!
the wonder of what money can bring.
compared to the 40 cents for 2 pails of water at the MSCP carpark, the strength and the sweat, $6 car wash is a pamper. :)
side note: my sis is coming back tonight!!my parents are super gan chiong. haha. i wonder how early they're gonna reach the airport to fetch my sis. *yawns*don't get me wrong, i'm definitely excited for her to be back but you know.....it's only the afternoon and my parents have already been at the same topic for the entire morning!! my sis hasn't even boarded the plane at Beijing ya!!!welcome back dearie!!
