17 Aug 07 - Chewy's bday dinner

we had dinner at Waraku Pasta @ The Central Mall beside Clarke Quay. the queue was long and it was difficult to wait for a nine-seater table - to the extent that the staff tried to dissuade us from eating there. they kept telling Chew Yee that we'll have to wait very very long and why not try the other Waraku restaurant (tat's within the same building) instead.

18 Aug 07 - Fireworks

it's the annual national day fireworks again! we stood at the open space in front of marina mandarin hotel, beside marina square shopping mall. as usual, there was a big crowd. we arrived promptly at ten mins to 9 and everyone was chatting excitedly around us. :) 20 mins past 9 it finally started! bright sparks of fireworks lit up the dark sky. magnificent views!

i wanted to upload some videos to share, but alas! blogger doesn't allow me to even after 2 tries. it says - error!! darn. i'll try to upload them again sometime this wk.
