being too nice hurts. i had it enough wif some ppl.

here's the brief story of what happened:

i'm doing reconcilement for this particular deposit product. reconcilement meaning to make sure that the trade details are right from both the dealers and the bankers side, and that all documentation and compliance checks are in place. so for this product's reconcilement, i need the bankers to give me a call report that'll record whatever that was discussed during the meeting wif the client and that the client knows about the product and its risk.

by right, all these documentation are to be submitted to me the next working day after the dealers sent out the trade confirmation email. so came this difficult client whereby the associate banker requested for a bit more time for his banker to prepare the call report. i relented, as this associate banker has always deliver his promises. though he's going on to another department, he assured me that he'll follow up wif his banker for this. as the deadline neared, i called him again only to know that he was on MC that day so i left message wif his new colleague.

the next day i got a nasty shock from his banker!

his banker (is a "she") called and started yelling at me,

"WHY ARE U CHASING XXX AND XXX FOR THE CALL REPORTS? WHY DO U KEEP CHASING THEM FOR THE REPORTS HUH? I AM THE ONE WHO DOES THE CALL REPORTS. ANYTHING, U CALL ME......................"

and it's not just once. but twice.
i'm like........................

"HELLLLLOOOOO. I'M NOT EVEN OBLIGED TO CALL AND REMIND U TO SUBMIT THE CALL REPORTS. MY CALLS ARE OUT OF COURTESY AND GOODWILL!!!! I'M PUTTING MYSELF AT RISK FOR AUDIT CHECK THAT I'M PENDING THOSE CALL REPORTS FOR YOU. AND HERE YOU ARE, SCREAMING YOUR HEAD OFF AT ME AND SAYING THAT WHAT?!?! CHASING YOUR ASSOCIATE BANKERS FOR CALL REPORTS."

so much for my kindness and what did u give me? ur arrogance, sarcasm AND sickening tone.

she's being so unfair to me. i'm just doing my job.

since she doesn't appreciate my goodwill, i swear the next time i see her trades again and if she fails to give me all the necessary documentation by the deadline, i'll put her on exception report. which will escalate to the big shots in no time.

want to mess wif me. hmph.

some ppl just have to learn it the hard way.
