been out shopping for formal wear the past few days...
and horrendous!
the clothes were sure not cheap huh. pants and shirts at G2000 were like around $49-$59, a plain black collared shirt at Zara costs $75...those at Osmose were slightly more affordable at $30+ but still...imagine the next time when we start working, how much do we have to spend on our dressing?
sigh.
have gotten myself a decent suit for interviews... quite an investment really! with thanks to sis :) for her generous bday present - a shirt from dorothy perkins...heh...(seriously hoping that some companies would grant me interviews soon... been applying for jobs but haven't received any responses yet... *anxiety levels rising madly* cos ppl kept asking me if i've found a job yet...or...is there a hurry to??)
having mixed feelings about graduating and going out to work soon... dad has been telling me about the kind of hypocrisy and office politics one would face in the office... i expected that but somehow, his experiences kinda painted an even more bleak outlook of the working world... ppl talking behind each other's backs, ppl putting on a super nice face in front of you but telling tales to your boss when you're not around... how fake can ppl get huh. now i'm a bit apprehensive at the thought of working.
yet on the other hand, i'm excited at the freedom of a working life and gg thru another phase of life. no exams, no mugging... no naggings from parents to come home early to study and study... more late nights out, more $$ to buy stuff etc etc being financially independent, shouldering more responsibilities and able to make decisions on your own.
the transition to adulthood... a dilemma...
so yea, i don't know how i feel really.
